The resurrection of Jesus is essential to our salvation! If He didn’t defeat death there’s no way we ever could. You and I could never possibly be saved without believing in the resurrection of Jesus. The scriptures let us know that when He was raised from the dead we were raised with Him. We were raised from the death of our sins and promised a physical resurrection to come. His resurrection brought us life, power, renewal, refreshing, and hope!
It’s important to realize that the resurrection of Jesus isn’t just a historical fact, but it’s an ever living reality in our daily lives. His resurrection changed time and eternity, it changed our future and our present. That’s why the Apostle Paul prayed that “he might know Him and the power of His resurrection.” He recognized the resurrection of Jesus as a life changing event!
