Have you ever had debt gobbling you up? Perhaps you are there right now. So how do you fix it and get into the abundance God wants you to have in Christ Jesus? Here are some things you can do to start climbing out of the pit of debt:
- If you are not tithing fix that right now. And when you tithe claim the blessing of abundance over your life.
- Start sowing now. Don’t wait until you are better off financially. That’s like a farmer waiting until he has a harvest before he plants any seed. That’s backwards!
- Mend the holes in your money bag. Check where your money is going. Are you spending money for things that maybe you don’t have to have right now? A friend of mine gave this great recipe for getting prosperous, “Spend less than you make and keep doing it for a long time.”
- Start praying and confessing God’s Word over your finances. Call yourself debt free.
- This one may not be very popular…. work a little extra for awhile if you need to. But let me give you a little word of caution about this, never choose work over going to church. A person may occasionally be required to work during church time, but avoid it at all cost and certainly never make your own choice to do it. You can’t prosper by cutting out the house of God. You need His help more than you need the world’s help. By choosing His house first you show Him He is first in your life. Remember, Pharaoh (the world) can’t deliver you, but God Almighty can, so if there’s a choice to be made choose God!
