Did you know that you play a big part in how well you know God and how much revelation you have, and how transformational the Word of God is in your life? Whether the Word is going to be alive in your life or boring to you is up to you. The measure of thought and study you give to the truth you hear will be the amount of life changing power you get back from it. How you treat God’s Word will determine what you get back from it.
If God’s Word is boring to you or you’ve been saying thinks like, “I just don’t get anything out of church or out of reading the Bible”, then it might be time for you to consider that you are the one who needs to change! Check on the measure of thought and study you are giving to the truth you hear. Are you approaching the Word with a fresh expectancy? Are you coming to church expecting to receive something from the preached Word? Are you sitting up straight when the Word is being preached, paying attention, and expecting to receive revelation? The way you approach Word directly affects how it impacts your life. If you’ll approach the Word with expectancy you’ll leave with blessing!
