Did you know that there are two lives being played out on the inside of you? Your soul life and your spirit life. Your soul tells you what you think, feel, and want. Your spirit life tells you what God thinks, feels, and wants. Sometimes it can get a little confusing trying to tell what’s you and what’s God. Thank God we have help to be able to tell the difference.
This verse tells us that the Word of God will divide the difference between what’s of our soul and what’s of our spirit. As we spend time in God’s Word we develop ourselves to be able to tell the difference. As you know the Word you’ll know if what you are thinking, feeling, and wanting lines up with the will of God. The Word will develop your spiritual sensitivity.
Don’t sell yourself short in life by following your soul. Spend time in the Word and develop yourself spiritually to the point that you don’t live a life of following what your soul wants. In the end that kind of life only leads to disappointment. Your spirit will lead you to success in every area of life!
