Whenever I think of Jesus’ resurrection I think of two words… life and hope! His resurrection along with other things brought us life and hope. How fitting it is that we celebrate His resurrection in the springtime. All winter long I’m eagerly waiting for spring to arrive. Springtime always brings with it life and hope. New life begins to emerge and with it the expectation of warmer temperatures.
So it is in our lives because of the resurrection. Jesus’ resurrection brought hope to us. It has brought an extreme expectation of good to our lives. Not only has it brought hope, but it’s also brought life to us. Not just any kind of life, but Zoe life. Zoe life is the life of God. It’s been defined as life as God has it. That higher kind of life has been given to us believers through the resurrection of Jesus. We can make the choice to walk in that kind of life through our faith. It was Jesus who said, “I’ve come to give you life, and life more abundantly!” Happy Resurrection Life!
