“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.”
I Timothy 2:1……..
It seems that over the years the knowledge of the power of intercession has been allowed to slip. The knowledge of how intercession can change things. Of how it can change the lives of people, situations, and how it can bring total victory. Someone once said, “Intercession is bringing on others what they are not bringing on themselves.” We can literally see the lives of others changed through the power of intercession. The lives of family members, the lives of friends, the lives of people in our nation.
Jesus taught in Luke 11:5-13 that intercession is the answer to an empty cupboard. We the Church have had people come to us in need of healing, deliverance, and miracles, but our cupboard has been empty. Intercession fills our cupboard so we’ll have as much as we need to help those who come to us.
Let yourself be stirred up again about the power that’s available to us through intercession. Watchman Nee once said, “Our prayers lay the track down on which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, His power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails.”
