One of the things I learned early on in my Christian life was that the more of God’s knowledge I could learn the freer I would be in life. You could say it this way, that the more of the Word you get in you the freer you’re going to be. Natural knowledge won’t do for you what God’s knowledge does. Natural knowledge may help you in certain areas, but it won’t make you free from the bondages that come in this life.
Once I discovered this truth I started to fill myself up with the knowledge of God. I started reading the Bible, listening to teaching tapes, reading good faith-filled books, and going to church services voraciously. Here’s what I found out, the more I learned the freer I became!
I know sometimes it’s easy for us to want to have someone pray for us and lay hands on us and for all of our problems to go away. Sometimes that works, but most of the time we have to do something. We have to so fill our lives with God’s Word that there’s no longer any room for anything else. There’s no longer any room for any bondages. We’ve replaced the bondages with the freedom that comes through the knowledge of God!
