Praying For Others

Praying For Others

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”    ~  Ephesians 6:18……….

In this verse the Apostle Paul exhorts us to watch in prayer for the saints.  So what does it mean to watch in prayer for the saints?  One thing it means is to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit leading you to pray for other believers.  He may bring a person to your mind, or you may have a prompting to pray for someone.  Don’t just dismiss that.  You could be helping to bring someone some much needed spiritual help.

I personally have had times when I was experiencing spiritual warfare and my mind was being bombarded with thoughts of failure, thoughts of giving up, thoughts of discouragement and within 24 hours all of that was gone.  I’ve come to realize that during my time of spiritual warfare God had someone praying for me and it brought deliverance to my life.

Whenever you have those thoughts about someone, or a nudge to pray for someone, don’t let that get by you.  You may be the very one God uses to get that person delivered from the warfare they are experiencing!
