I hear the word “culture” used a lot today. It’s a current buzz word that’s being thrown around. So just what does culture mean? Culture is the qualities, characteristics, beliefs, values, standards, practices, behaviors of a certain people or particular group. Sometimes you’ll hear about a new CEO who’s going to change the culture of a company. That means they’re going to change that company’s values, standards, and practices to conform with the new vision.
When we’re born-again it’s time to change our culture. Our values, standards, and practices need to change. We’re no longer supposed to operate by the culture of the world. We’re now to operate by the culture of the Kingdom of God. We’re to allow the Word of God to produce our culture. Too many get born-again but continue to mostly operate by the culture of the world. That’s living the low life. God has a much higher life for us to live. Don’t just accept what you used to accept before you were born-again, let God’s Word renew your mind. Live by the Word and expect to receive everything it promises you!
