Beware of the offense trap!

Beware of the offense trap!

“Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.”       ~   Luke 17:3…..

Notice this verse warns us to take heed to ourselves if someone trespasses against us.  So why would it say to take heed to yourself?  It’s very simple… because of offense.  Offense is a very deadly thing in a believer’s life.  Offense will kill, steal, and destroy your life.  Satan loves to play the offense card because he knows that if we fall for it we’re doomed.

Offense will cause us to get out of the will of God for our lives.  Divine connections have been severed because of offense.  People have left churches because of offense.  A pastor can preach a thousand sermons that everybody likes and then say one thing they don’t and they get offended and leave the church and get totally out of the will of God.

Don’t fall for the offense trap.  Make a firm commitment that nothing shall offend you.  Your life will be much better off if you do and you’ll safeguard yourself against getting out of the will of God!
