“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred year old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb.” Romans 4:19 KJV
I want to talk to you about weak faith. So, what is weak faith? This verse says that Abraham being not weak in faith considered not his own body or Sarah’s body. So weak faith must consider the circumstances. We all face circumstances, that’s just a part of this life. We’re not told to ignore our circumstances, but we are instructed not to consider them.
The word consider means, “to observe fully”. To consider your circumstances means you let them dictate. You allow them to have final say so in your life. Abraham wouldn’t have that. No matter what his or Sarah’s body said he chose to consider what God had said, “So shall thy seed be!”
We’re going to consider something, so why not make the decision to consider what God has spoken. After all, He’s always right!!
