“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6 …….
Have you ever needed wisdom on anything? We’re instructed that if we lack wisdom in a matter we’re to ask God for wisdom and He’ll liberally give it to us. The only condition is that we ask in faith with no wavering or doubting.
That means that when we ask we may leave that time of prayer without knowing anymore about the situation than we did when we went in. That’s where faith comes in. We’re to believe that the wisdom of God has been given to us and that when the time comes to make a decision we’ll make the right one. We’ll know what to do and we’ll know which direction to go. If we always knew what to do immediately after we’ve prayed the Bible wouldn’t warn us not to waver.
So after you’ve asked for wisdom, from then on don’t go around saying you don’t know what to do. Instead say, “I’ve asked for wisdom and have received it and I will make the right decision.” That’s how you walk in the wisdom of God.!
