One of the phrases that has helped me a lot over the years is, “Let the Word fight your battles for you.” This verse tells us that God’s Word is a living thing, it’s alive! Living things can do something. You and I can actually let God’s Word fight our battles for us. Just like a military commander may send his troops out into the field to fight the battle, you and I can send the Word out to fight our battles.
We do this by believing the Word, speaking the Word, and resting on it. Believing that it’s alive and working for us against whatever situation we send it against. Believe it fights our battles for us when we send it out against a problem. The book of Hebrews tells us that, “We who have believed do enter that rest.” When we believe we enter into the rest that the Word provides.
So from now on instead of getting all worked up when you face difficulty, send the Word out against it and enter into the rest that God’s Word provides. Let the Word fight your battles for you!
